Earn Money Playing Video Games

In this tutorial I will explain how to earn money playing an online video game called Entropia Online. I hope to be able to explain how I am able to work from home by playing a video game in the hopes of getting more users to join the Entropia Universe. Take note that this will take awhile, and you do need to be very dedicated to be an earner instead of a payer for this game.

Planet Entropia is a game where people can trade in in game money for real life cash at a rate of 10 PED -> $1. This game is definitely not for the weak of heart. I am not going to mislead you and say that YOU will be earning up to $10,000 a month playing a game, but with the right attitude and LOTS of patience, you can work your way up to your fortune. To do this, you must first build your initial capital, I will show you a few steps on how to do this, then learn the ways of a trader. Remember, this game can be very fun if you want to play it, but if you want to make money instead of spend money read on.

The first thing you will want to do is go to http://www.planetcalypso.com, download the client, then set up your free account. This game runs only on Windows based systems, so sorry Mac/Linux users you're sore out of luck. Once you have done that, log into the client and create your avatar. Once you've done all that, you're ready to start making money.

Just like in real life, You can't go out with 0 PED and expect to make any money off it. There are a few different ways to earn some capital for you to trade with later.

First way (Easiest) - The absolute easiest way to get PED is a site called Metarl. On this site you can earn Metapoints by entering a free daily raffle, playing games, or taking survey's. It is a quick and easy way to make some PED to get you started. Click Here to get started on Metarl.

Second way - This way is a little more challenging, not because it is difficult, but because it is very time consuming. When you are in the game, you will start in a place called Port Atlantis. You will want to travel North from there until you find a place called "Sweat Camp". There are many tutorials (Like this one) on how to sweat so I will not go into too much detail, but on average, you will make about 100-400 sweat per hour. At the current price that I am posting this sweat goes for 4 PED per thousand. So if you have tons of free time, or are just bored, sweating is an acceptable way to get started.

Third way - Pay to play. I saved this way for last because it is going against the whole reason you are playing. It is not exactly fun filling out surveys or sweating, so I completely understand if you want to start this way. By now you should have around 200 PED to get started with, if you have more that's even better.

In the Entropia Universe everything has a market value that is based off TT (the price you get at the trade terminal). Some things are worth significantly more than TT and others are worth maybe only 2-3% more than TT so you have to pick your investments wisely.

The first step is to go find an avatar named auctioneer. When you find them, double click on them to open up the auctions. This is where it gets good. Click the tab labeled "Opening Bid" and search for an item worth around 110% or higher, with a bid price of about 5 PED. Now, do a search for that item and see how many there are in the auction. If you see around 10-12 postings then you are good. Sort the items by "Opening Bid" and look at the highest price. Buy everything below the highest price. You now control the market on this item. You can set the price to anything below or equal to the highest opening bid.

Lets say for a moment that the highest Opening bid for your item (Item X) is 175% above TT, which is at 5 PED. You buy 11 the item X's at 160%. You then resell all the items for 175%. You spent 88 PED but now have 96.25. That's an earning of 8.25 PED. That may not sound like much but remember, this is a low scale item. Imagine you did the same thing with an item whose TT was 100 PED. If you bought 11 at TT+160% then resold them at TT+175% that is an earning of 165 PED, 15 PED per item! Now remember, as long as you continue to buy every item X that comes into the market at 174% or less until people catch on to your new price, you will continue to earn PED. Doing this, I have earned a living for the past 2 years, with a maximum monthly income of $10,000!

It is all about learning the market system based in the game, and understanding key elements in the game. For example why is what you are about to buy out important to other players? Is it rare? Is it popular? A good place for helping you see the stock charts of specific items and help build your choice on what items to buy is http://www.peauction.com. There they have charts dating back a few years to help you see the sell flow of items. Another good place to check before you buy the items is to right click on the item in the game and click market value. There, check to see how many of those items were sold today. If it is above 5 then the item is likely going to sell.

The final piece of advice I can give you is to have fun while you play. Set aside about a quarter of your earnings to put toward your avatar to be able to play otherwise you will never last. It will take you a few weeks before you can start buying out items worth 100 PED, so you need a lot of patience. It's always good to kill a few aliens to keep you sane.
